5-a-Side Football (aka "soccer") Tournament

Football (aka "soccer") has been part of our annual Scottish Games for many years and we recently introduced a new and exciting format that involves teams in a round robin format with the top teams advancing to Sunday’s knockout stages. 

Competing in the 2026 round robin phase were;  San Francisco Glens, Oakland NSC, Real Santa Clara, Pachuca Academy Pleasanton, Club Maritimo, and the Caledonian Club. Competing for the Women's Challenge cup were the San Francisco Glens and the Caledonian Club. 

We enjoyed an excellent weekend of competitive football, with outstanding performances from both the men’s and women’s teams. The San Francisco Glens triumphed in both competitions, with Aki Freeman and Kathryn Alvarado named this year’s men’s and women’s MVPs, respectively.
