Scottish Heavy Athletics
The Caledonian Club of San Francisco proudly announces that the 2026 Men’s Scottish Heavy Athletics World Championships will be held during the 160th Annual Scottish Highland Gathering & Games on Labor Day Weekend. This year’s event will also feature the 50th annual U.S. Scottish Heavy Athletics Championships for both men and women.
Experience the thrill and tradition of Scotland’s ancient athletic heritage as both professional and amateur competitors vie for honors in events such as hammer throwing, stone putting, weight for height and distance, and sheaf and caber tossing.
